Enda Markey Presents was founded with a new Australian production of Side By Side By Sondheim, which toured Sydney, Bathurst, Canberra and Geelong.

Side By Side By Sondheim was presented for one night at Theatre Royal Sydney, featuring more than twenty of Australia’s leading stage and screen stars alongside Ruthie Henshall, who made her Australian debut.

Our first international production, Do You Hear the People Sing?, premiered at Shanghai Grand Theatre, starring Michael Ball and Lea Salonga.

Do You Hear the People Sing? expanded to Taipei and Manila, where the performances raised significant funds for communities affected by Typhoon Haiyan.

Blood Brothers played sold-out seasons in Melbourne and Sydney, while our long collaboration with Geraldine Turner began with Turner’s Turn.

We presented the world premiere of Defying Gravity and a special Stephen Schwartz in Conversation event at Theatre Royal Sydney.

Two artist-led productions reached Australian audiences: Bobby Fox: The Irish Boy premiered at Sydney Opera House, and Ruthie Henshall: Live & Intimate toured Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide.

We returned to the stage in a big way, with three presentations at Sydney Opera House: Do You Hear the People Sing?, the world premiere of Becoming Eliza and Boublil & Schönberg in Conversation.

Do You Hear the People Sing? played the Hollywood Bowl and returned to Manila, while Carousel: A Concert was presented at Melbourne’s Princess Theatre.

Defying Gravity returns to the stage at Kölner Philharmonie for its European premiere, opening a new international chapter for the production.
